Serving Those Who Serve Us
Minnesota Police Reserve Officers Association is a certified nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established in 2000 , comprised of reserve police officers serving the community performing non-licensed duties, so that it frees up licensed peace officers to address more serious issues.
One of Minnesota Police Reserve Officers Association’s primary goals is to support reserve officers who are going to school for law enforcement. To provide more opportunities for employment we have implemented a public safety staffing agency specifically for students who are eligible to be certified to work as licensed peace officers in Minnesota. Active and retired reserve officers qualify for employment opportunities as well.
In addition to training, recognition, and facilitating employment opportunities, reserve police officers will have the option to serve on the honor guard unit at state, city, and community events.
Provisional Executive Authority
The Provisional Executive Authority is the special governing board that is charged with recruiting, restructuring, reviewing the goals and objectives and Bylaws of the organization. This board will approve all standard operating procedures and provide oversight of the day to day operations until a Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors is appointed and sworn in.
